European Union Engagement 2011-12

Item 5 is on a brief draft report on EU engagement in 2011-12, on which we are required to report to the European and External Relations Committee. As there are no comments or questions, do members approve the draft?

Members indicated agreement.

As I am sure members are aware, this is the last meeting of the committee for our clerk Dougie Wands, who is moving on to pastures new, with a secondment to another place.

Shame.

It is for two years, I think.

It is for 18 months.

It is to the House of Commons. I am sure that we all wish to extend our good wishes to Dougie on his new venture and thank him for all his efforts on our behalf over the past months.
