Deputy Convener

The Convener:

We move now to the appointment of a new deputy convener. Pauline McNeill was the deputy convener, but she has resigned from the committee. It is normal to have a Labour deputy convener on this committee, and I think that Helen Eadie is the Labour party's nomination. Would someone like to make that nomination?

I nominate Helen Eadie.

I second that nomination.

Are there any other nominations?

Members indicated disagreement.

Helen Eadie was chosen as deputy convener.

Congratulations, Helen. Welcome to the deputy convenership of the Public Petitions Committee.
