Convener

Item 2 is our choice of convener. On 13 November, the Parliament agreed to motion S3M-2870 and therefore resolved that members of the Labour Party are eligible to be chosen as convener of the committee.

Members will have noted from the other committees of which they are members that the oldest committee member starts off the first meeting, and I am the oldest member in the room. Indeed, it could be argued that I am the oldest member in the whole building, but I would rather that we did not go there.

I invite nominations for the position of convener.

I nominate Trish Godman.

Trish Godman was chosen as convener.
