European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018

Insolvency (Amendment) (EU Exit) (No 2) Regulations 2019

The Deputy Convener

Under agenda item 3, the committee has been asked to consider a notification from the Scottish Government relating to the Insolvency (Amendment) (EU Exit) (No 2) Regulations 2019. The committee agreed to a proposal for consent for the United Kingdom Parliament to legislate in relation to the Insolvency (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019. These regulations would amend the UK insolvency law to deal with the consequences of a no-deal Brexit. Is the committee content for those issues to be dealt with by statutory instrument laid at Westminster?

Members indicated agreement.

The Deputy Convener

The convener will therefore write to the Minister for Business, Fair Work and Skills to notify him of the committee’s decision.

09:50 Meeting continued in private until 12:20.
