Deputy Convener

Helen Eadie was our deputy convener, so item 2 is the selection of a deputy convener. The Parliament has agreed that only members of the Scottish Labour Party are eligible for nomination as deputy convener of the committee. That being the case, I invite nominations for the position.

I nominate Margaret McDougall to be deputy convener.

No seconder is required and there are no other nominations.

Margaret McDougall was chosen as deputy convener.

I congratulate Margaret McDougall on her appointment.
