I welcome members to the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee’s first meeting in 2014. As usual, members, witnesses and all those in the gallery should ensure that mobile phones are turned off, not least because they can interfere with the sound system.

Under agenda item 1, I ask our new member, Cara Hilton, to declare any relevant interests.
