Official Report 1407KB pdf
On a point of order, Presiding Officer. I regret that I have not had the opportunity to give you notice of this question, as I normally would.
I seek your guidance on how, under rules 13.6B and 13.8 of standing orders, I might raise in the chamber the plight of tourist accommodation businesses in the city of Edinburgh, which, as of tomorrow, will be required to maintain records in order to apply the visitor levy on advance bookings for dates from July next year.
Mr Ewing—
How can I raise the issue, given that my requests for a topical question and an urgent question have been rejected?
Thank you, Mr Ewing. That was not a point of order, but I am happy to discuss with the member the many mechanisms that he can use to raise issues in the chamber.
