Good morning and welcome to the third meeting of the Criminal Justice Committee in session 7, in 2026. I warmly welcome the Cabinet Secretary for Justice and colleagues from the Scottish Government.
Our first item of business today is a decision on whether to take agenda items 6 and 7 in private. Item 6 relates to consideration of the evidence that we are about to hear, and item 7 relates to a supplementary legislative consent memorandum on the Armed Forces Bill. I propose that the committee takes items 6 and 7 in private. Do members agree to do so?
