Children's Hearings (Scotland) Amendment Rules 2009 (SSI 2009/307)<br />Education(Fees, Awards and Student Support) (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) Regulations 2009 (SSI 2009/309)

The second item on our agenda is continued consideration of subordinate legislation. Members have had advance sight of the Children's Hearings (Scotland) Amendment Rules 2009 and the Education (Fees, Awards and Student Support) (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) Regulations 2009, and have indicated that they have no comments to make on either of the statutory instruments. No motions to annul either of the instruments have been lodged.

However, the Subordinate Legislation Committee determined that it needed to report both instruments to the committee and Parliament; its reasons for doing so are stated in the accompanying paper. Do members agree that the committee has no recommendations to make in relation to SSI 2009/307 and SSI 2009/309?

Members indicated agreement.

That brings the public part of today's meeting to an end. The committee's next meeting will be on Wednesday 7 October at 10 am.
