Draft Budget Scrutiny 2011-12
Good morning everyone, and welcome to the 18th meeting in 2010 of the Equal Opportunities Committee. I remind all those present, including members, that mobile phones and BlackBerrys should be switched off completely as they interfere with the sound system even if they are switched to silent. We have received apologies from Elaine Smith, and Bill Kidd may be a little late—his train has been delayed, but we hope to see him in the course of the meeting.
The first item on the agenda is to seek the committee’s agreement to take in private at future meetings discussions on our approach to the Scottish Government’s draft budget for 2011-12 and consideration of our draft report. The committee is also asked to delegate to me responsibility for arranging for the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body to pay, under rule 12.4.3, any witness expenses arising from the evidence sessions. Are members content with that?
