Good morning. I call the eighth meeting of the committee this year to order. We have a full agenda this morning, so I thank members for their early arrival. The early start is necessary to deal with the volume of business that we must get through if we are not to have another meeting before the recess.

Before we start on the first item of business, I would like members to note that item 3—consideration of the draft of the final report on the local economic development inquiry—will be conducted in private.
