Good morning. I open the 18th meeting in 2006 of the Equal Opportunities Committee. I remind everyone present, including members, that mobile phones and BlackBerrys should be turned off completely because they interfere with the sound system. I have received apologies from Sandra White and Jamie McGrigor.

The first item on our agenda is consideration of whether to take in private discussion of our approach to the Commissioner for Older People (Scotland) Bill. Do members agree to do that?
