Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the 10th meeting in 2001 of the European Committee. I have received apologies from Nora Radcliffe.
I welcome a colleague, Russell Keith, to today's meeting. Russell is clerk to the European Affairs Committee in the National Assembly for Wales and we are delighted that he is able to spend some time with us. He is sitting in the corner—please do not draw any conclusions from that seating arrangement.
