The Convener (Rob Gibson)

Good morning, everybody, and welcome to the 23rd meeting in 2012 of the Rural Affairs, Climate Change and Environment Committee. Committee members and members of the public should turn off their mobile phones and BlackBerrys, as leaving them in flight mode or on silent will affect the broadcasting system.

Under agenda item 1, I ask Nigel Don to declare any relevant interests.

I draw members’ attention to my entry in the register of members’ interests, but I have nothing specific to declare in connection with the committee.

The Convener

Welcome to the committee, Nigel. I thank Annabelle Ewing for her sterling and incisive work as a member of the committee. Just in case we meet in private next week, I wish Clare O’Neill, our assistant clerk, well at the Infrastructure and Capital Investment Committee and thank her for all her work on our behalf.

Members: Hear, hear.
