Deputy Convener

Our third item of business is to choose a deputy convener. The Parliament has agreed that only members of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party are eligible for nomination as deputy convener of the committee. I understand that Jackson Carlaw is the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party’s nominee for the post.

Jackson Carlaw was chosen as deputy convener.

I congratulate Jackson Carlaw on his appointment and I look forward to working with him and all other members.
