Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Marking of Meat, Meat Products, Minced Meat and Meat Preparations) (Scotland) Regulations 2001 (SSI 2001/358)
Import and Export Restrictions
(Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Scotland) (No 2) Amendment (No 3) Regulations 2001
(SSI 2001/367)

The Convener:

Under agenda item 2, we are considering two statutory instruments. Originally we were due to consider a further instrument, the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2001 (SSI 2001/337), which was referred to us by the Subordinate Legislation Committee. However, the committee has since decided that that instrument, which relates to capercaillies, is better suited to be referred to the Transport and the Environment Committee. That is the reason that we are no longer discussing it. I hope that that meets with the approval of the committee.

We are the lead committee on the two remaining instruments that are before us today. The Subordinate Legislation Committee considered the regulations in its 37th report and made no comment on them to this committee. We have received no prior notice that any member wishes to comment on the regulations. Are members content with the regulations?

Members indicated agreement.
