Proposed Amendment

The Convener:

The committee has paper SAK/S2/04/7/1, which explains the background to the objection from Mr Brydie and Mr Anderson to the proposed amendment about the Balfour Street level-crossing. We are invited to give the objection preliminary consideration and to consider the supplementary accompanying documents that the promoter has produced.

Members will note that paragraph 6 of paper SAK/S2/04/7/1 suggests that the objection meets the requirements of standing orders. Do we agree that the objection should go forward for substantive consideration?

Members indicated agreement.

The supplementary documents that the promoter has produced to allow the objection process to proceed appear to be adequate to allow substantive consideration of the objection. Do members agree?

Members indicated agreement.

That concludes agenda item 2. I invite members of the public, the official report and broadcasting services to leave the room, because the committee is going into private session, as agreed.

Meeting continued in private until 13:06.
