Decisions on Taking Business in Private

Good morning, colleagues, and welcome to the fifth meeting this year of the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee. I remind members to turn off mobile phones, BlackBerrys and suchlike. I note that we have received apologies from Brian Adam.

The first item on the agenda is for the committee to decide whether to take in private item 3, which is the committee’s consideration of draft standing order rule changes for Scottish Law Commission bills. Are we agreed?

Members indicated agreement.

The next item is to decide whether to take in private consideration of a number of future reports dealing with minor rule changes and committee substitutes and papers on Scottish Public Services Ombudsman special reports and the hybrid bills process. Are we agreed?

Members indicated agreement.
