I welcome members to the third meeting in 2012 of the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee. I remind everyone present to switch off their mobile phones, BlackBerrys and so on.

Item 1 is a decision on whether to take items 5 and 6 in private. Item 5 is consideration of draft revised directions to the Public Standards Commissioner for Scotland and item 6 is consideration of the committee’s work programme. Does the committee agree to take those items in private?
