Our next item is consideration of eight statutory instruments that are subject to the negative procedure. As members have no comments on any of the instruments, does the committee agree to make no recommendations to the Parliament?
Can I raise an issue, convener?
What is it?
There are allegations in the media today that this year’s higher maths exam paper was “dumbed down”, of “poor-quality”, “uneven” and without “flow”.
Sorry, but the issue is not on the agenda, so—
Can I raise it briefly?
It is not on the agenda. The committee is not a platform for raising issues that are raised in the media. If you wish to put the issue in the work programme, we will be happy to discuss that.
That is exactly what I want.
There is no work programme item on the agenda, so we will move on. We will discuss the matter at the appropriate point.
