The Deputy Convener (Adam Ingram)

Welcome to the ninth meeting in 2012 of the Infrastructure and Capital Investment Committee. I remind members to turn off mobile phones, as they affect the broadcasting system. Apologies have been received from Maureen Watt, so I will act as convener for the meeting.

I wonder where Maureen is. [Laughter.]

The Deputy Convener

Apologies have also been received from Margaret McCulloch.

Under agenda item 1, on subordinate legislation, the committee is invited to consider five negative instruments. I refer members to the cover note on the instruments, which is paper ICI/S4/12/9/1. Members should note that no motions to annul have been received and that the points that the Subordinate Legislation Committee raised during its consideration of four of the instruments have been responded to by the Scottish Government.

As members have no comments to make, does the committee agree that it does not wish to make any recommendations to the Parliament on the instruments?

Members indicated agreement.

Housing (Scotland) Act 2010 (Commencement No 7 and Transitional Provision) Order 2012 (SSI 2012/91)

The Deputy Convener

Agenda item 2 is consideration of a commencement order that relates to certain provisions of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2010. The order is not subject to parliamentary procedure. I refer members to the cover note on the order, which is paper ICI/S4/12/9/2. Does the committee agree to take note of the order?

Members indicated agreement.

The Deputy Convener

Thanks very much.

Before I close the meeting, I remind members that the committee will now begin an informal briefing on public procurement from the Scottish Government. That will be followed by the homelessness event, which will take place over lunch time.

Meeting closed at 11:19.
