Official Report 97KB pdf
We wrote to the Scottish Government on 6 September to ask whether it considers that there is a problem with the timeous implementation of European Union-related instruments. There being no comments on the Government's response, are members content to note it, and to note that the Scottish Government and the European and External Relations Committee are to undertake inquiries into transposition issues? They may well be doing some useful work for us.
Members should note that a further paper will be brought to the committee shortly about our role in European issues. I am sure that that will prove to be interesting and thought-provoking.
Meeting continued in private until 14:48.
