Bedroom Tax Mitigation (PE1496)
Item 2 on the agenda has been outstanding for a considerable time.
Petition PE1496, in the name of Alan Wyllie on behalf of the no2bedroomtax campaign, is on bedroom tax mitigation. It was considered previously by the committee in January 2014. At the time, the petition was not closed as the bedroom tax issue was on-going. As members know, the issue has subsequently been resolved through the additional powers on discretionary housing payments.
The committee has to decide whether we are content to close the petition or to keep it open for a particular reason. Is it the view of the committee that it should be closed now?
Members indicated agreement.
