Consultative Steering Group Principles

Item 4 is the Procedures Committee's inquiry into the application of the consultative steering group principles in the Scottish Parliament. I have been invited to give a presentation to the Procedures Committee on the work of the Public Petitions Committee and to suggest whether it is in line with the principles of the consultative steering group. The presentation will take the form of a submission, prepared by Steve Farrell and agreed by the committee. The Procedures Committee is writing to petitioners, asking them what they think about us, so it would be a good idea for us to get our submission in first. Is it agreed that we make such a submission? Steve Farrell will prepare it for our consideration after the recess.
