Items in Private

For the first item on the agenda, I seek the committee's agreement to take other items in private. On item 2, we will need to consider lines of questioning for witnesses as part of our consideration of the Scottish Executive's proposal for the future of the Highlands and Islands ferry service network. Do we agree to take the matter in private, as is usual practice for such items?

I also seek the committee's agreement to take in private consideration of lines of questioning for the ministers Sarah Boyack and Rhona Brankin at next week's meeting. Do we agree to take that item in private?

For item 5 today, we will consider a draft response to the Procedures Committee inquiry into the application of the consultative steering group principles in the Scottish Parliament, which we discussed last week. As is usual practice with discussions of draft reports and responses, I seek the committee's agreement to take that item in private. Do we agree to take that item in private?
