National Trust for Scotland (Governance etc) Bill: Consideration Stage

The Convener (Fiona McLeod)

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the fourth and final meeting of the National Trust for Scotland (Governance etc) Bill Committee. I remind members of the public and the committee to switch off mobile phones and BlackBerry-type devices.

The only item on our agenda is the consideration stage of the National Trust for Scotland (Governance etc) Bill. We have no amendments to deal with, but the standing orders oblige us to consider the sections of the bill and the long title and to agree to them formally. We will take the sections in order and the long title last. No apologies have been received and no additional members of the Scottish Parliament are in attendance.

Sections 1 to 8 agreed to.

Long title agreed to.

The Convener

That ends the consideration stage of the bill. I thank my colleagues on the committee for the time that they have given. I thank the promoter and the witnesses for their contributions to our examination of the bill. I also thank the clerking team and the Scottish Parliament information centre for the support that they have given us.

The next stage of the bill is the final stage, when the whole Parliament will vote on whether to pass it. Any member may lodge an amendment at the final stage.

Meeting closed at 10:33.
