Item 2 is consideration of our approach to scrutinising the financial memorandum to the Judiciary and Courts (Scotland) Bill. Committee members will see from the clerk's paper that it is suggested that we adopt level 1 scrutiny, which would involve seeking written evidence from the Lord President, the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland and the Scottish Court Service. As with the Public Health etc (Scotland) Bill, if issues are raised in written evidence that suggest that the committee should re-examine the financial memorandum, we can reconsider it at a future meeting. Do committee members agree with that approach?
