Decision on Taking Business in Private

Good morning, and welcome to the fifth meeting in session 7 of the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee. We have received apologies from Tim Eagle.

Our first agenda item is a decision on whether to take items 5, 6, and 7 in private. Agenda item 5 is consideration of the evidence that we will hear this morning on the Scottish Local Government Elections (Candidacy Rights of Commonwealth Citizens) Bill; agenda item 6 is consideration of our approach to scrutiny of the Presiding Officer’s temporary changes to standing orders, and agenda item 7 is consideration of a report by the Ethical Standards Commissioner.
