Prostitution Tolerance Zones (Scotland) Bill: Stage 1

The Convener:

We have two more items, which I hope we can deal with fairly promptly. Item 2 is the timetable for future consideration of the Prostitution Tolerance Zones (Scotland) Bill. I invite members to agree that we ask the Parliamentary Bureau to extend the timetable for completion of stage 1 to 30 October 2005. The Executive is expecting to publish its response to the expert working group's report by the end of May before reporting to the Parliament. It seems to make sense for us to have sight of the Executive's response to the working group's report before we finalise our stage 1 report and before the Parliament debates the issue. Is it agreed that we ask for that extension?

Members indicated agreement.
