Decision on Taking Business in Private

The Convener (Christine Grahame)

Good morning and welcome to the 12th meeting in 2013 of the Justice Committee. I ask everyone to completely switch off mobile phones and other electronic devices as they interfere with the broadcasting system even when switched to silent. Apologies have been received from David McLetchie, to whom I am sure we send our best wishes, and John Lamont is attending as his substitute.

Agenda item 1 is a decision on whether to take in private item 5, which is consideration of our work programme. As the programme itself is comprehensive and scarily lengthy and as we will be discussing potential witnesses for giving evidence, I would like the clerks to be able to contribute. Do we agree to take the item in private?

Members indicated agreement.
