Food Labelling (Nutrition Information) (Scotland) Regulations 2009 (SSI 2009/328)
Item 2 is consideration of a negative instrument. Members have a copy of the Food Labelling (Nutrition Information) (Scotland) Regulations 2009 as well as a note from the clerk. The regulations amend the Food Labelling Regulations 1996 to implement in Scotland European Commission directive 2008/100/EC, which amends European Council directive 90/496/EEC, on nutrition labelling for foodstuffs as regards recommended daily allowances, energy conversion factors and definitions. The Subordinate Legislation Committee has made no comments on the regulations. Does anyone have any comments? If not, is the committee content to make no recommendation on the regulations?
