Welcome to the eighth meeting in 2002 of the Finance Committee. I have received apologies for lateness from Jamie Stone and Brian Adam, but I am told that they are both on their way. The committee adviser, Arthur Midwinter, is attending today's meeting.

I draw members' attention to the additional questions for the minister on public-private partnerships and the private finance initiative. Those papers were sent out late last night.
