Items in Private

The Convener (Des McNulty):

I welcome people to the 13th meeting in 2006 of the Finance Committee. I ask for all pagers and mobile phones to be switched off. We have received apologies from Wendy Alexander and Jim Mather. John Swinney has indicated that he may join us later, although it is possible that he will not be able to attend.

The first item on our agenda is consideration of whether to take items in private. First, we must decide whether to take item 5, which is consideration of a draft report, in private. Is that agreed?

Members indicated agreement.

I also propose that we consider our draft report on the financial memorandum to the Legal Profession and Legal Aid (Scotland) Bill in private at next week's meeting. Is that agreed?

Members indicated agreement.
