Decision on Taking Business in Private

The Convener (Ms Wendy Alexander):

I welcome everyone and ask that all pagers and BlackBerrys be turned off. First, I must apologise on behalf of myself and other members—we were delayed because of a signal failure at Polmont. I believe that Jim Mather is trying to join us, but has been caught by the same signal failure. Finally, I offer apologies from John Swinney, who was able to attend the meeting between 10.00 and 10.30, but has had to leave at 10.30.

We now have a quorum. The first item on the agenda is to consider whether to take in private our draft legacy paper at our next meeting and at any subsequent meetings. I propose that we do so. Do members agree?

Members indicated agreement.
