Item in Private

The Convener (Mr John Swinney):

Good afternoon. I welcome members to the ninth meeting in 2005 of the European and External Relations Committee of the Scottish Parliament. I have received apologies from Gordon Jackson. Members will note that we have a rather long agenda ahead of us.

The first item is to decide whether the committee wants to take in private item 7, which is consideration of our report on the preparations for the G8 summit and the United Kingdom's presidency of the European Union. Is that agreed?

Members indicated agreement.
