Official Report 598KB pdf
Agenda item 6, which is our final item of business, is consideration of a supplementary LCM on the Cyber Security and Resilience (Network and Information Systems) Bill. I refer members to paper 7.
I also refer members to the written response from the Cabinet Secretary for Justice, replying to questions that we raised with him in writing about the supplementary LCM. Members will note that the Scottish Government is supportive of the overall aims of the UK bill and states that it has worked closely with the UK Government to review the clauses in the bill that require consent.
As members have no comments, is the committee content to recommend agreement to the Scottish Government’s motion, as drafted, giving consent?
Members indicated agreement.
Are members also content to delegate authority to me, as convener, to approve a short factual report on the supplementary LCM?
Members indicated agreement.
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 6 October, when we will take evidence as part of our pre-budget scrutiny and discuss our work programme and the budget.
That completes our business for today.
Meeting closed at 11:51.
