Welcome to the 12th meeting in 2009 of the Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee. The main item of business today is a hearing on the state of the Scottish tourism industry in the current economic climate. However, before we come to that, do members agree to take in private agenda item 3, under which we will consider whether to seek approval for the appointment of an adviser for the follow-up to our tourism inquiry later in the year?
