I open the second meeting of the Communities Committee in 2006. Scott Barrie sends his apologies. Item 1 concerns item 6, which relates to a claim for witness expenses arising from our consideration of draft Scottish planning policy 21, on green belts. Members are asked to consider whether to take item 6 in private. As members do not wish to comment on the proposal, the committee will take item 6 in private.
