The Committee agreed to take items 2, 3 and 4 in private.
The Committee undertook its initial consideration of a report from the Commissioner for Ethical Standards in Public Life in Scotland.
The Committee considered a report from the Commissioner under subsection (5)(b) of section 24 (Procedure for assessing admissibility of complaint) of the Lobbying (Scotland) Act 2016. The Committee agreed to make a direction to the Commissioner under section 24(7)(b), and therefore to continue to investigate the complaint.
The Committee considered its work programme and agreed proposed witnesses for Stage 1 scrutiny of the Scottish Local Elections (Candidacy Rights of Commonwealth Citizens) Bill and of the Legislative Consent Memorandums on the UK Representation of the People Bill.
