The Public Audit Committee looks at reports published by the Auditor General for Scotland to examine whether public money is being spent efficiently and effectively.
On 25 June 2026, the Auditor General for Scotland published the report Post-school education and skills reform.
The report says “The Scottish Government’s intentions to reform post-school education and skills lack a clear delivery plan. Progress is slow. The government needs to make stronger links with its wider plans across economic transformation, climate change, education and skills.”
