Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee

The Committee considered a draft report on its scrutiny preceding the Scottish Government’s Budget 2027-28. Various changes were agreed to and the Committee agreed to delegate to the Convener responsibility for finalising the report for publication.
The Committee considered its work programme, and agreed to:
invite an additional witness as part of its evidence sessions on the implementation of the Equality and Human Rights Commission's revised Code of Practice for Services, Public Functions and Associations;
hold in December a one-off evidence session on community cohesion, involving a panel of witnesses followed by the relevant minister as a precursor to a larger inquiry in early 2027.
