1 Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take agenda items 3, 4 and 5 in private.


2 NHS in Scotland 2022:

The Committee took evidence from—

Stephen Boyle, Auditor General for Scotland;

Antony Clark, Executive Director , Leigh Johnston, Senior Manager and Fiona Lees, Senior Auditor, Audit Scotland.


3 NHS in Scotland 2022:

The Committee considered the evidence heard at agenda item 2 and took further evidence from—

4 NHS in Scotland 2022:

The Committee considered the evidence heard at agenda items 2 and 3 and agreed to invite the Director-General for Health and Social Care and Chief Executive of NHS Scotland, Scottish Government to give oral evidence at a future meeting.


5 Work programme:

The Committee considered its work programme and noted correspondence from Transport Scotland and agreed to write Transport Scotland.

The Committee noted correspondence from National Records of Scotland and agreed to close its scrutiny of the 2020/21 audit of National Records of Scotland and the 2021/22 audit of National Records of Scotland.

The Committee noted correspondence from the Deputy First Minister, Scottish Government in relation to Replacement European Funds: Future audit and accountability arrangements and agreed to write to the Auditor General for Scotland.

The Committee also noted correspondence from the Permanent Secretary, Scottish Government and agreed to close its scrutiny of Scotland's financial response to Covid-19; Scotland's economy: Supporting businesses through the Covid-19 pandemic and Social Security: Progress on implementing the devolved benefits.
