Dear Ariane,
I am writing to you, in your role as Convener of the Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee, to inform you that the Scottish Government is now allocating Resource Planning Assumptions (RPAs) to all local authority areas for the years 2021-22 to 2025-26 with immediate effect, to support the delivery of more social and affordable homes.
This results from the Scottish Government’s commitment to invest £3.44 billion in the Affordable Housing Supply Programme over this Parliamentary term. From this, a total of £3.2 billion is being allocated to local authority areas across Scotland, representing an increase of £541 million on the previous five year allocations.
A table showing a breakdown of the five year allocations is included at Annex A.
