1 Declaration of interests:
Members of the Committee were invited to declare any relevant interests. The following interests were declared—
John Mason declared an interest as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland;
Kenneth Gibson had no relevant interests to declare;
Michelle Thomson declared interests as a former employee of Standard Life, a former employee of RBS, a sole trader of a property investment company, a director of a property management company, a former adviser to the Northern Ireland Assembly all party group on fair banking and finance, and as an ambassador of the Westminster all party parliamentary group for fair business banking;
Liz Smith had no relevant interests to declare;
Douglas Lumsden declared an interest as a member of Aberdeen City Council;
Daniel Johnson declared interests as a director and sole shareholder of a retail company, a member of the USDAW and Community trade unions and as the vice chair of the ADHD Foundation;
Patrick Harvie had no relevant interests to declare.
2 Choice of Convener:
The Committee chose Kenneth Gibson as its Convener.
3 Choice of Deputy Convener:
The Committee chose Daniel Johnson as its Deputy Convener.
4 Decision on taking business in private:
The Committee agreed to take item 5 in private.
5 Work programme:
The Committee considered and agreed its approach to developing its work programme and agreed to hold a Business Planning Day.
