New Chief Executive of Scottish Enterprise
Letter from the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Economy to the Convener - 22 June 2021
Dear Convener,
I am pleased to inform the Committee that a new permanent Chief Executive has been appointed to Scottish Enterprise (SE).
Following a full recruitment process, Adrian Gillespie was successful at securing the role. Adrian has extremely valuable skills spanning the public sector and business.
He is in a unique position to energise the application of knowledge and innovation to the business community and economy, which will allow SE to deliver more effectively for the Scottish Economy.
Linda Hanna was appointed as interim Chief Executive of SE and will remain in post until Adrian formally begins his role on 1 September 2021.
I am sure the Committee will agree that this is a positive step forward for SE.
