FALKIRK GROWTH DEAL – HEADS OF TERMS - DEAL SIGNING
I am writing to confirm that I signed the Heads of Terms for the Falkirk Growth Deal with the UK Government and with Falkirk Council on 21 December, which means that the Deal can now move into the next stage of its development.
The Scottish Government has committed investment of £40 million in the Falkirk Growth Deal over the next ten years to deliver inclusive economic growth across the region. We will also invest an additional £10 million over the deal term to support Green Recovery.
The locally designed projects we are supporting will improve access to sustainable transport, develop tourism and culture offerings, regenerate town centres, support innovation in sectors which are key to carbon reduction, and equip local people with the skills they will need to benefit from these opportunities.
I have attached a PDF copy of the Heads of Terms document for your information.
