1 Declaration of interests:
Members of the Committee were invited to declare any relevant interests. The following interests were declared—
Siobhian Brown declared an interest as a Councillor for South Ayrshire Council and a previous interest held up until 7 May 2021 when she resigned, as a caseworker for Allan Dorans MP.
Murdo Fraser declared an interest as a member of the Law Society of Scotland and an interest in rental income from heritable property.
John Mason, Jim Fairlie, Alex Rowley and Brian Whittle had no relevant interests to declare.
2 Choice of Convener:
The Committee chose Siobhian Brown as its Convener.
3 Choice of Deputy Convener:
The Committee chose Murdo Fraser as its Deputy Convener.
4 Work programme:
The Committee considered its approach to developing its work programme. The Committee agreed to invite the Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for COVID Recovery to give evidence at a future meeting. The Committee also agreed to hold a business planning day.
