1 Declaration of interests:
Members of the Committee were invited to declare any relevant interests. Bill Kidd, Jackson Carlaw, Paul Sweeney, David Torrance and Tess White confirmed they had no relevant interests to declare.
2 Choice of Convener:
The Committee chose Jackson Carlaw as its Convener.
3 Choice of Deputy Convener:
The Committee chose David Torrance as its Deputy Convener.
4 Work programme:
The Committee considered its approach to developing its work programme and agreed to hold a Business Planning Day. The Committee also agreed to refer the 15 petitions that were previously considered by subject committees in Session 5 to the most appropriate new subject committees, in line with the Session 5 Public Petitions Committee’s recommendation.
