The intention of this instrument is to address deficiencies in retained EU law relating to public procurement which arise from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. It also seeks to ensure that retained EU law in the field of public procurement operates effectively after the Implementation Period ends on 31 December 2020.
The Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee considered the instrument at its meeting on 24 November 2020 and agreed that no points arose.
Following evidence, the Cabinet Secretary for Finance moved—
