Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee
The Committee reports to the Parliament as follows—
The Carbon Accounting Scheme (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2017 [draft] were laid before the Parliament on 21 February 2017 and referred to the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee.
Purpose of the instrument
The purpose of the Regulations and its associated documents are set out in the Committee's cover note (ECCLR/S5/17/10/1) for its meeting on 21 March 2017.
Committee consideration
The Carbon Accounting Scheme (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2017 [draft] are subject to affirmative procedure (Rule 10.6). It is for the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee to recommend to Parliament whether the Regulations should be approved.
At its meeting on the 21 March 2017, the Committee took evidence on the instrument from—
Roseanna Cunningham, Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform;
John Ireland, Deputy Director of Decarbonisation; and
Tom Russon, Policy Advisor, Decarbonisation Division, Scottish Government.
